Eczema - How common is it?
Eczema is extremely common in children.
Eczema is getting more common.[3] [4] [2]
- About 1 in 6 children get eczema.[1]
- Most children with eczema (about 9 in 10) get it before they are five years old. Many get it when they are babies.[1]
- About 6 out of 10 children grow out of eczema in their teens.[1]
- Between 2 percent and 10 percent of adults have eczema.[1]
