Yellow, greasy, scaly patches on a baby’s scalp are likely to be cradle cap (or seborrhoeic eczema). Although it looks unsightly, this condition, which usually affects babies from one to 12 months old, is harmless. It doesn’t itch and won’t cause your child any distress.
