Blisters - Treatments
Never deliberately puncture or burst a blister (whether it’s from a burn or another cause). This is because the raw area underneath may become infected if it’s left exposed.
If a blister does burst, keep it covered to protect against infection. If the skin is not burnt, an ordinary plaster is perfectly suitable, but make sure it has a big enough pad to cover the area completely. Colloid dressings specially designed for blisters are a good choice as they help to absorb moisture, and protect and treat the blistered area.
