Athlete's foot - Questions to ask
If you have athlete's foot and you use a treatment that you bought over the counter, your infection may go away. But if it doesn't, you may want to see your doctor.
Here are some questions you may want to ask:
- Why did I get athlete's foot?
- How do you know it's athlete's foot and not another condition?
- Will it go away?
- What's the best treatment for me?
- How long will I need to use this treatment?
- Does this treatment have side effects?
- Do I have to stop any activities, such as running or swimming?
- What can I do to avoid getting athlete's foot again?
- Can I pass the infection on to other people?
- Is there anything I can do to protect other people from catching it from me?
