Ankle sprain - How common is it?
A sprained ankle is the most common type of ankle injury. About 1 in 10,000 people sprain their ankle every day. [1]
A quarter of all sporting injuries are sprained ankles. A lot of ankle injuries happen in basketball, football and volleyball.[2]
